Everyone loves Mexican food, but visiting a new Mexican restaurant can be a hit or miss proposition. Luckily, here at Roberto's Cantina you'll find everything you ever wanted in a restaurante mexicano: freshness, spiciness, hominess, intense flavors and the best margaritas in town.
Our philosophy is that there's no better food than what's cooked in all the home kitchens in villages and cities all over Mexico. That's why we strive to serve the most delicious and authentic home cooking using traditional recipes and the best quality ingredients. Every dish we create is made with the love and care of a Mexican abuelita! We take no shortcuts at Roberto's Cantina.
More About Us!
You'll find all of your favorite dishes here as well as some that might be new to you. Customers rave about our complimentary chips and salsa. Our chips are big and fresh and we serve two different kinds of salsa. You may be tempted to ask for another basket, but make sure you leave room for every tasty dish to come. We have lots of appetizers that'll pique your palate. We're especially proud of our ceviche, with marinated fish and lime juice, tomatoes and cilantro. Its light and delicate flavors meld perfectly.
If you've never had Mexican chicken soup, try it when you come to Roberto's! Like regular chicken soup, it's comforting and soothing, but it has a Mexican twist. And our Marinera, or seafood, soup is packed with scallops, fish and shrimp.
Some more of our specialties include our Chicken with Mole, which is seasoned with ground dry chiles, seeds and nuts; Carne Asada, or grilled slices of steak with roasted pasilla chiles; and Pollo al Xocoqui, which is chicken with our special sauce made of mild chilis and sour cream. Because we know a thousand ways to prepare shrimp, an entire section of our menu is devoted to our collection of shrimp dishes. You will love Shrimp al Rebozo, or shrimp wrapped in bacon, or any of the other fantastic and creative selections. You'll have trouble deciding, but that's okay: They're all good!
Oh, and don't forget to ask the bartender about our tequilas. We have a huge selection and you might be surprised to find yourself vowing to try them all!
